Lodging
Hotels and bed and breakfast partners around the city offer discounted rates to Tulanians, including parents, alumni, guests, and visitors. A self-booking tool is available for each hotel on its page.* The locations in the neighborhoods of Uptown, Carrollton, and the Garden District are the closest proximity to campus, however, the French Quarter, CBD, and Mid-City neighborhoods offer added culture to your trip as well.
*A percentage of each booking goes to support Tulane University programs and initiatives.
Driving & Parking
- Driving directions to campus from the airport the West on I-10 (from the airport):
Follow signs toward the Central Business District. As you enter the downtown area, follow signs to Hwy. 90 Business/West Bank. Exit at St. Charles Avenue/Carondelet Street (do not cross the bridge). At the second traffic light, take a right onto St. Charles Avenue. Follow St. Charles Avenue about four miles. Tulane and Gibson Hall will be on your right at 6823 St. Charles Avenue, across from Audubon Park.

For Move-In parking, directions will be communicated a few weeks prior to the event. For Family Weekend, parking instructions will be included in the online schedule details closer to the event.
Due to limited parking in the Uptown area, for other visits during weekdays, we strongly recommend you use public transportation or a taxi to get to the Tulane Uptown Campus.
Vehicles parking on the uptown campus between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday, are required to display an annual parking permit, a daily parking permit or park in an hourly space. Failure to comply with parking rules may result in a citation. For additional parking information, call (504) 865-5441.
Visitors have several options when purchasing hourly, one-day, or multi-day permits. See the Visitor Parking instructions on the Parking Services website.
Whatever you do, DO NOT park in any spot marked "Reserved" at any time (even weekends, holidays, and university breaks) because you'll get a ticket and your car could be booted.
